Author Talk with Dr. Michael Fowler “Calling the Fleeting Breath”

Dr. Michael Fowler will lecture on his newly published book, Calling the Fleeting Breath. Dr. Fowler is the Mary Durban Toole Chair in Art and Professor of Art at the University of South Carolina Aiken. His ongoing scholarship of the past twenty years features ways that fine artists have revealed aspects of Abraham Lincoln’s character. This has resulted in his recent publication of Calling the Fleeting Breath, a volume that delivers a sweeping visual feast of the work of artistic visions of the sixteenth president over the past 160 years.
