The Big Mo revives America’s unique and fading form of entertainment. The Big Mo is one of the few Drive-In’s operating in South Carolina! Expect 2014 season to be the most exciting time as The Big Mo premiers the new digital projection system they won from the Honda Drive-In Project! A $100,000 value that helped save our drive-in! The drive-in was open from 1951-1986 and then reopened in 1999. It is still operational today!
The Monetta Drive-In Theater opened as a single screen movie theater in 1951. It closed in 1986 and re-opened in 1999. The second screen was added in 2005 and the third screen was added in 2011. The giant peach was built to house the digital projector on the Main Field in 2014.
Come out and join us for a unique experience-movies under the stars at the drive-in theater! We generally offer three double features each weekend during the spring, summer and fall. The schedule for the upcoming weekend is usually updated by Tuesday morning.
