We're a family owned and operated track and have more than 70 years of standardbred racing and training experience between us. We've dedicated our lives to making McGhees' Mile the most professional track in the business.
Our 77-acre facility has everything you need to optimize your Standardbred training experience.
McGhees' Mile is home to three racetracks:
– a one-mile red clay track
– a half-mile red clay track
– and a 7/8 mile sand track.
All three are groomed regularly and kept in tiptop shape. They have to be. We don't just run the track. We train our own Standardbred horses here, too.
McGhees' Mile has over 250 stalls, plenty of paddocks and ample barn space. We also have living quarters on-site for our extended guests.
And you can stay as long as you want. With average winter temperatures between 48 and 70 degrees, and annual precipitation about 36 inches, this truly is a year-round training facility.
