Bruce’s Field

When Bruce Duchossois purchased the field in 2000, he did so with a vision of its past, present, and future as a fixture of Aiken’s equestrian tradition. While his immediate goal was to save the land from residential development, Bruce’s dream was to grow it into South Carolina’s premier equestrian facility—maintaining its historic character, and paying forward the generosity of his predecessors. Its premier facilities and rich heritage provide an unmatched hospitality for horse and rider alike. Upon completion, Phase I of the improvement plan will see 3 all-weather competition arenas and 2 practice arenas featuring GGT footing, a grass Grand-Prix Field and International Derby Field, permanent stalls, space for additional temporary stabling, and an administrative building housing the Foundation office with access to permanent restrooms.
