Aiken Triple Crown

Aiken Trials

The Aiken Trials has become a time-honored tradition as the first leg of Aiken’s Triple Crown. The trials are where young 3-year-old horses get their start – it's a preview of future champions! Aiken Trials is a day of family fun, tailgating, and competitive racing. Food vendors are on site. In addition to the five races for thoroughbreds during the Trials, there are four pony races and one for women riding sidesaddle. Gates open Saturday, March 18th, 10 a.m. at The Aiken Training Track.

Aiken Spring Steeplechase

Aiken's largest sporting event returns on March 25th!  The 56th running of the Aiken Spring Steeplechase is held within the organization's beautiful new venue at 2020 Richland Avenue East, and gates open at 8 a.m. So, be sure to wear your Sunday best, ladies, and don't forget your big hats!

Pacers & Polo

Pacers and Polo is the final leg rounding out Aiken's Triple Crown after the Aiken Trials and the Aiken Spring Steeplechase. The event features an opening ceremony, six seven-minute chukkers, a 20-minute intermission, and an awards ceremony at the end of the match. Pacers and Polo is also a significant fundraiser for USCA athletic scholarships. Gates open at 10:30 a.m., and the event starts at 1:00 p.m. on April 1st at Powderhouse Polo Field.
