The Friends of Hopelands and Rye Patch

The Friends of Hopelands and Rye Patch

These supportive volunteers provide advice and counsel to the City and raise supplemental support for projects. These projects include presenting the City with a giclee reproduction of a portrait of former Rye Patch owner, Dorothy Rogers; renovating the Doll House, the home of the Garden Club Council of Aiken; updating the foyer in Rye Patch and restoring the Carriage Museum at Rye Patch. Their current project is the renovation and preservation of the Rye Patch stables. Monetary donations from interested citizens, garden clubs, foundations, and other groups provide funds for the projects of the Friends. To join or for more information, contact the Friends at P.O. Box 2213, Aiken, SC 29802 or call the City of Aiken at (803) 642-7650.
