With historic ties to The Juilliard School in New York, Joye in Aiken brings the very best in the performing arts to our region. Since 2009, the annual Festival and Outreach Program has showcased the talents of almost 500 extraordinary musicians, dancers, and actors, with the majority of them coming from that world-renowned conservatory.
In 2021, the Festival has been reinvented to take account of strict COVID protocols. Instead of the one-week program that normally takes place every March, this year the events will be spread over a four-month period from March to June. Most will be in outdoor venues that take advantage of the spectacular Winter Colony properties to be found in Aiken.
This year’s stellar lineup includes the Grammy-winning chamber ensemble the Parker Quartet; jazz icons Evan Christopher and Wycliffe Gordon; our own Juilliard-trained Artistic Director for Jazz, Riley Mulherkar; and other favorite Juilliard alumni.
