Southeastern Nature & Forest Therapy and Consulting

Shinrin-yoku or "forest-bathing," a practice that originated in Japan is now available here. In the U.S., it is known as forest therapy, and it has been in the news lately because of the many health benefits it offers. Spending time in the forest has been scientifically proven to lower stress hormones, blood pressure, and anxiety while it bolsters our immune system by increasing our Natural Killer cells. NK cells mop up invaders, such as viruses, bacteria, and cancer cells and help us to fight off infections and other diseases. Come see what it's all about!
