Our free workshops are designed to teach basic theatre skills, such as Stage Movement, Finding Your Character, Improvisation, Script Analysis and more, in an engaging and age-appropriate manner. We want to teach the theatre arts, but we also want our students to have fun and form friendships with other like-minded students from throughout our community and learn life skills that they can use in any aspect of their lives, not just theatre.
Due to COVID-19, the following guidance will be in place:
Youth Wing Workshops must exclude children, volunteers, parents and guardians if they:
- Are showing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, such as fever, cough or shortness of breath. Please refer to the Center for Disease Control for specific exclusion guidance.
- Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in 14 days.
- Face covering will be required of all adult volunteers, students, parents and guardians.
Students must bring a COVID-19 questionnaire signed by parent or guardian to each Saturday workshop. The questionnaire may be found at this link: https://bit.ly/2D322gk
All participants will maintain social distancing of 8 feet during the workshops. ACT Youth Wing will provide face coverings (if needed) as well as hand sanitation to all volunteers and students. If anyone is found to not be following these guidelines, they will not be allowed to participate in Youth Wing Workshops.
Please stay tuned for more information regarding workshop locations and curriculum. This is a challenging time for everyone but we are looking forward to restarting our workshops in a safe, fun, and socially-distanced manne
