The Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum, located at 406 Park Avenue SE, will host a lecture and book signing with author Shi Evans on Wednesday, April 8th from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. The 30 minute lecture will focus on the author's novel, Whiskey Road, set in Aiken during the Great Depression. Mrs. Evans will be available after the lecture to sign copies of her novel, Whiskey Road which will be available for purchase. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free. SEATING IS LIMITED. About the author: Shi Evans is a program assistant in the Georgetown area of Washington, D.C. with a degree in political science and an MPA. Shi started writing after working with the FBI and living in South Korea on military orders. With almost twenty years as a military spouse, she has logged a vast number of travel miles and met the most interesting characters from all over the world. She taps into these experiences to bring forth her first novel, Whiskey Road.
