The holidays are right around the corner, and there’s no place like Aiken to celebrate magical moments. This charming town will transform into a winter wonderland filled with holiday festivals and traditions, and here’s a list of magical things to do in November to get your holiday spirit on! It’s no secret that Aiken is a charming town especially this time of year. Holiday Hop - November 8

Back by popular demand, this event is an opportunity to invite shoppers to get a first look at what our businesses have to offer for the holidays.  Shop local, shop late - stores will stay open until eight! Be sure you get the most out of Aiken’s merriest season with a self-guided map of ‘Downtown Aiken’ and a ‘How to Act like a Local’ shopping and dining guide to start your magical day!

Polar Express - November 16 and 17

Pull out those Christmas pajamas, a soft blanket and a pillow and join us at the Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum for 2 showings of The Polar Express!

Bloodies and Bagels – November 22

Bagels of various flavors, cream cheese, coffee and Bloody Marys will be served. Enjoy this event before the walk into Hitchcock Woods for the Blessing of the Hounds at 11 a.m.

Blessing of the Hounds - November 22

The annual Blessing of the Hounds is a must see for residents and visitors alike. Aiken Hounds is distinguished as having the oldest drag hunt in the nation!

One Table – November 22

This Thanksgiving Dinner is open to the entire community, located in the Alley in beautiful Downtown Aiken.

Small Business Saturday – November 24

Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities.

Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting – November 30

It’s a tradition to gather downtown for the lighting of the Christmas tree. Carolers serenade you while refreshments are served. The best part is hearing the squeals and delights from children being greeted with a special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Christmas Craft Show – November 30/December 1

Featuring over 100 exhibitors from all over the Southeast, this two-day event is a great place to find those unique holiday gifts. And, for the foodies out there, food trucks are available to satisfy your taste buds.
